A very solid brass umbrella stand, with lions on two sides. The gauge of the brass is very thick on the top and sides, with some white metal solder present where the top edge meets the sides and along one corner running the length of the inside. Nicely crafted and has a wonderful presence in any hallway. It was recently polished on the outside, since there was a very uneven tarnish. The patina will come back naturally, since it’s not coated with any material. It also looks great polished, if you wish to keep it that way.
